How bidding works
Bruco runs timed online auctions of stock we own. Here's what to expect.
1. Catalogue preview
Each auction's catalogue is published before bidding opens. You can view photos, condition and known defects, and watch lots you like.
2. Bidding
Create an account, accept the auction terms, then bid from the lot page. Each lot shows its opening bid and the minimum increase.
We show the amount you're committing to before you confirm, and only treat a bid as placed once we confirm it was accepted.
3. Staggered closing & extensions
Lots close one after another at published intervals. If a valid bid arrives in the final 60 seconds, the lot is extended so at least 60 seconds remain. This can happen more than once.
4. Reserves
Some lots have a private minimum price (reserve). We show whether a reserve exists and whether it has been met, but not the amount. If the reserve isn't met, the lot doesn't sell.
5. After you win
Choose free collection, or give us your delivery address and we'll quote delivery. You accept the quote or switch to collection, then pay by EFT.
